DGeco is the digital technology developed by DG Twin to improve the user experience and reduce the consumption of electric mobility vehicles.
DGeco allows to adapt the performance and use of vehicles in relation to the characteristics of users and routes, with enormous benefits both for the vehicle driver and for the environment.

THE APPLICATIONS
The DGeco digital platform is applied to electrified mobility systems, to identify the best energy management based on the specific context of use.
The concepts on which it is based make it applicable to different means for the:
micro-mobility (push scooters, little motorcycles, microcars, and cargo bikes)
other vehicles equipped with electric or hybrid engines
This application is of interest:
to bile/mopeds sharing fleet managers (B2B): as better management of the availability of electricity on board implies lower costs for recharging bicycles and/or push scooters and for the related logistics costs
to bicycle owners (B2C): as it increases the time between charges, and increases the useful life of their bicycle battery
THE VALUABLE PROPOSAL
The DGeco system is based on a “data driven” approach. The data that drive the system are related to the real operation of the vehicle.
DGeco has been implemented in an IoT platform that provides information relating to the route taken and has been demonstrated in real environment, in the city of Naples, in its first application as an APP that can be utilized from riders of pedal assisted electric bicycles.
THE INNOVATION OF DGECO
The DGeco digital system considerably expands the available data with the purpose of increasing driving comfort and reducing energy consumption.
DGeco succeeds thanks to the implementation of elements of artificial intelligence and IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity.
DGeco couples a digital twin of the vehicle with a proprietary machine learning algorithm that is capable of:
reduce energy consumption (increasing range and battery life)
increase driving comfort
FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
DGeco will be integrated with advanced sensors for monitoring air quality and cyclist health.
The technology has the potential to revolutionize the design of vehicle control systems, because it allows the use of calculation models not only in a phase prior to production and putting on the road, but at every moment of the vehicle’s actual operation itself, whatever its use (or mission profile).
DGeco is the subject of a patent application filed in Italy in March 2022.
